MRSTAX Backup File Upload (ITBAK files)

You must create a backup of the tax return.

Use this page to upload your ITBAK files to our server.

  1.  From within the Intellitax tax software select "Client Profile"

  2. Highlight the return you wish to backup

  3. From the menu choose "Tools --> Backup"

  4. The default Backup Location should be c:\IntelliTax\2003\Backup.  This is fine.

  5. Make sure to choose "All Returns Selected in Grid"

  6. Now you can click "Start Backup"

  7. This will create an ".ITBAK" file which is named for the taxpayer Name and SSN. (Such as "123456789_SMITH_JOE_FD.ITBAK")

  1. Enter you name in the "Your Name" blank below.

  2. Under "Send this file on my server" click on the "Browse" button.

  3. Browse to "My Computer"

  4. Click on "C-Drive"  (Local Drive C:)

  5. Click on "Intellitax" folder

  6. Click on "2006" folder

  7. Click on "Backup" folder

  8. You should see your ITBAK file. (Such as "123456789_SMITH_JOE_FD.ITBAK")

  9. Double-Click on your file to select it

  10. You should now see you file listed in the box above the "Upload" Button.

  11. If you see the correct file has been selected then click "Upload"

  12. When Upload is successful you will see message "File is valid, and was successfully uploaded"
